L'Ordalie Noire is a Nantes-based associative label for extreme and alternative music, created in August 2021.

The label is made up of six passionate individuals determined to unite and support the underground bands they believe in. These enthusiasts are musicians, graphic designers, writers, and have been long involved in the scene. They have previously been members of bands, associations, webzines, and radio stations within the scene, and have come together to pool their skills and contacts to serve the bands they represent.

The sole objective of L'Ordalie Noire is to support these bands, allowing them to focus solely on music creation and live performances by handling the production and physical distribution of their albums and singles. Currently, the bands are primarily from the extreme metal genres (Death Metal and Black Metal), but the label does not wish to limit itself to this label and remains open to other genres and projects, whether they are Heavy, Doom, Thrash, Goth, Dungeon Synth, or similar.
