These are the first words, spoken by Marcellin Trouvé, that the first fans of FT-17 could hear on February 21, 2016, the day FT-17 released its debut album, Marcellin s’en va-t-en guerre. February 21, 2016: an anniversary. Exactly one hundred years after the start of the German offensive at Verdun.
Marcellin tells the story of his war, from the Battle of the Marne to the Chemin des Dames... On February 21, 2018, FT-17 released its second album, Verdun!, which recounts the recapture of the Douaumont fort.
On June 6, 2022, Aisne 1914 was born. A close-up of the battles taking place around Reims in the early months of the war. Beyond being a tank manufactured by Renault, FT-17 is primarily a seven-member band from Nantes, offering, through melodic black metal, a memorial journey to the heart of World War I, as seen through the eyes and letters of Marcellin Trouvé.
